What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved to your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things like your theme preference or whether you've already seen a banner.
Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, beacons) serve the same purposes. Everything below applies to those too.
What we use
We use three categories of cookies:
Essential — required for the site to work. These include the cookie banner's own choice and any CSRF or session markers. No consent required.
Analytics — only set after you accept analytics via the banner. Helps us understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they come from — all anonymized and aggregated.
Marketing — only set if you accept marketing cookies in the banner. Used for remarketing on Google Ads or Meta if we're running paid campaigns. We don't set these until consent is given.
Specific cookies
A live list of specific cookies in use (name, provider, purpose, duration) is available on request at contact@nextscalability.com. We keep this list as a separate living document to reflect changes quickly.
Consent and control
On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept all, reject all, or customize by category. You can change your choice any time via the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer.
Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies globally. Note that blocking essential cookies may break the site.
Third-party cookies
Our analytics provider and paid-media platforms set their own cookies under our direction, only after you consent. Their use of those cookies is subject to their own policies.
We link to those policies in the cookie banner's details view.
Do Not Track
We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a rejection of analytics and marketing cookies regardless of the banner state.
Changes
This policy is updated when the cookies we use change. The last-updated date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes are re-prompted via the cookie banner.
Legal disclaimer
